Information / Browser storage
Cookie policy
This policy describes the storage used by swayloclipsarchv.click and the controls available in your browser and on the website.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small item of data that a website can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. LocalStorage is a different browser facility: it retains a value for a particular website, but does not automatically attach that value to network requests. Rules concerning information stored on a device can cover both technologies.
Sounding Line Editorial Ltd, at 28 Brackenfold Lane, Plymouth, PL4 8QJ, United Kingdom, publishes this website. The website’s own JavaScript uses localStorage to remember the choice made in the cookie banner. Its storage purpose is limited to that preference.
Storage categories and purposes
The table distinguishes the preference record actually used from categories that would require additional disclosure and controls if introduced. An optional category is not a list of providers or identifiers. Accepting a banner is not permission for an undisclosed future purpose.
| Category | Purpose and scope | Retention and control |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | swayloclipsarchv-consent, a first-party localStorage key, remembers an accept or reject choice. It does not contain a personal identifier. | Remains until replaced, cleared by you or removed by the browser. The code sets no automatic expiry. |
| Analytics | Audience measurement is outside this site's defined storage purposes. Adding this category would require naming the service, explaining its data use and seeking the required consent. | Any proposed identifiers and retention periods would be disclosed before activation. |
| Functional | Optional convenience settings beyond the cookie choice are outside the defined storage purposes. Basic navigation and draft preparation run within the page. | Any additional persistent setting would need its own purpose, retention description and appropriate control. |
How the banner works
Accept All saves the value “accept”. Reject Non-Essential saves “reject”. Either selection closes the banner and leaves all articles available. Preferences opens a panel explaining the storage purpose and how to save a choice. The selection is local to the browser and device where you make it; it does not follow you across devices.
The record contains the choice only. It does not store your name, email address, a unique visitor number or a history of the pages you read. If browser settings prevent localStorage from working, the site can still be read, but the banner may return when another page loads.
Changing or withdrawing a choice
Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. Choosing Reject Non-Essential replaces an earlier acceptance. You do not need to contact the publisher to do this. Any future change that introduces a new optional storage purpose must be explained and must obtain fresh consent where required, rather than relying silently on an old preference.
Browser controls and opt-out
You can also remove this site's data through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Search those settings for swayloclipsarchv.click and clear its stored data. Blocking cookies alone may not block localStorage, so review controls for site data as well. Private browsing may discard the preference when the private session ends.
Clearing storage causes the banner to appear again. Blocking scripts can affect the mobile navigation and enhanced form validation; the article text and ordinary links remain available. Follow links to external sources only if you wish to visit those services, which apply their own storage policies.
Legal basis and questions
The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations govern relevant storage and access on devices, alongside data protection law where personal information is involved. Storage strictly necessary to remember a requested privacy choice is treated separately from optional measurement or convenience features. See the privacy policy for personal information rights and contact [email protected] with questions about this policy.
